Community Park North Design & Engineering Update - Environmental Permitting Fees
Staff will present an update to the Board on the ongoing design and engineering for the Community Park North project. The project requires environmental permitting and mitigation. Staff is requesting authorization to continue the design process and authorize submission of permits and payment of the required fees to continue the permitting process.
Motion to authorize the commitment of $379,310 towards the environmental permits and fees for Community Park North as required by the State Environmental Regulations and the County Conservation District.

The Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan was updated and adopted by the Board of Supervisors on March 7, 2024. The adopted plan identifies the future needs of the Township regarding parks, recreation and open space. One of the top priority recommendations of the plan was to build a recreation, arts and cultural center in the Township. The staff is requesting authorization to advance the completion of a feasibility study to take the next step in the evaluation process.
