Contract Order #2026-383 - Contract Award - Powell Farm Water Tap Project
The proposed project involves extending the existing waterline along Goehring Road. This extension will include tapping into the current water system and installing the necessary infrastructure to ensure reliable water access for the farm. The improvement supports the development of Powell Farm and aligns with the Township’s commitment to expanding utility services in this part of the Township to improve water quality.
At the June 4, 2026 Regular meeting, the Board will asked to consider approval of a contract award for the Powell Farm water tap project to Heckman Diversified Construction Services Inc., in the amount of $237,355.00.
The proposed project involves extending the existing waterline along Goehring Road. FOR BOARD CONSIDERATION THIS EVENING
The 2010 John Deere Fairway Mower experienced engine failure in late April. Given its age and hours, (10,000), major components are at end-of-life. Installing a new engine in this unit is not cost-effective.
Motion to ratify the purchase of a Kubota Tractor from M&R Powerup Equipment, via the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program, in the amount of $59,695.24.

Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2026-31, authorizing the transfer of funds to the settlement agent for disbursement to purchase the property located at Rochester Road/Thompson Park Drive for the St. Ferdinand property acquisition, and to authorize Chair Bruce Hezlep to execute all necessary closing documents, including signing the deed on behalf of the Township as grantee.

Staff is seeking financial assistance to develop an environmental trail and neighborhood connector within Graham Park. If awarded, the grant would support enhancements to a preserved open space area recently dedicated to the Township, improving public access and recreational opportunities.
Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2026-32, authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) through the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program (GTRP).
