Cranberry Volunteer Fire Company Safety Award Recognition
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, including senior leadership members in attendance and Chief Garing, for receiving a distinguished safety award. In November 2025, the Fire Company was honored with the VFIS Firefighter & EMS William Jenaway Illness & Injury Prevention Award. This award acknowledges the organization’s exceptional commitment to safety practices, operational excellence, and community protection. It reflects the Fire Company’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in training, emergency response, and risk management.

The Pin Oak Court Waterline Replacement Project will replace approximately 1,250 linear feet of 8-inch waterline from McIntyre Lane to Freedom Road. This area has experienced a high number of waterline breaks, and the project is part of the Township’s ongoing waterline maintenance program to improve reliability and reduce future repair costs.

The Cranberry Foundation’s 2026 Project of the Year is the installation of an outdoor Fitness Court in Graham Park, promoting health and wellness in the community. This project is funded by the Cranberry Foundation as part of their Project of the Year program. The Township also received a $30,000 grant from the National Fitness Campaign. Staff is now prepared to seek authorization to bid for the construction of this project.

Contract Order #2026-385 - Authorization to Bid - Roof Replacement - Haine Fire Station & Public Safety Training Center
In 2025, a severe storm caused damage to the roofs of the Haine Fire Station and the Public Safety Training Center. The damage was promptly reported to the Township’s insurance carrier, and payment for the claim has been issued. Staff is recommending replacement of both roofs to address the aging infrastructure. Both of these projects were included as part of the 2026 Capital Budget approved by the Board.

Staff recommends executing Year 2 of the service contract for hauling and disposal of dewatered Bio-Solids, Grit and Screening generated at the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility.
Motion to approve the contract award for the disposal of bio-solids, grit, and screenings under Option A (Year 2 – 2026) to Vogel Disposal Service, Inc. in the amount of $299,040.00.

In 2025, the Township updated its agreement with the Seneca Valley Soccer Association, which includes enhancing one field with artificial turf to expand youth recreation opportunities. The agreement provides for reimbursement from the Association. Design is complete, and the turf field project is ready to move forward.

The EMS Analysis initiative originated as an intergovernmental collaboration among Cranberry Township, Evans City Borough, Forward Township, Harmony Borough, Jackson Township, Seven Fields Borough, and Zelienople Borough. The project was launched to explore alternative funding mechanisms to address long-term EMS funding challenges. A comprehensive study was completed in October 2025, providing recommendations to improve financial sustainability and service delivery. Staff is now prepared to move forward with implementation.
Motion to authorize the execution of engagement letters to advance implementation of a sustainable funding model for EMS with Robb Consulting and Mette, Attorneys at Law.
